The oh-so-cute Sydney is getting herself hitched tomorrow, and we are working on her gorgeous designs as we speak! We wanted to take a quick break, however, to share with you a sneak peek of the portrait bouquet which was used in her recent groomals session with her fiance. Enjoy!

a stunner in the truest sense

We LOVED Meredith's portrait bouquet we created earlier this summer and felt that it was a stunner in the truest sense of the word. We couldn't be happier to have these images from one of our favorite photographers (whom we recommend in the highest regard!), Mikki Platt Photography. No bride could possibly regret choosing Mikki to capture the biggest moments of her life on her wedding day. Thanks for the photos!

And are these Utah views not breathtaking in every way? What a gorgeous place it is which we call our abode! Enjoy the fabulous photos of this fabulous creation and have a great weekend!

out of office . josi's portrait bouquet . july's photo of the month

A few items of business today:

1. We will be out of office from now until Monday, July 11th. We will have access to voicemail so feel free to call if need be, however, internet access will be intermittent at best. See you on the 11th!

2. We had several portrait bouquets, orders, and events this week, and one such was one of our upcoming clients, Josi, who had her bridal portraits taken earlier this week by someone whom we happen to think is among the top of the top-notch photographers Utah has to offer (as far as notches go): Gideon Photography. We have admired his work for a looooong time! Can't wait to see the photos. BTW, her event is going to be STELLAR.

3. And last but not least... it's July! Happy July! Happy Freedom! Happy Patriotism! Happy America! We love July. And in honor of this month, we thought we'd share as our photo of the month a snapshot we snagged of the aforementioned portrait bouquet we created for Josi this week. Enjoy!

Is not that third image to die for? Ah, we love it. Thank you so much for being such a great client, Amy, and thank you Mallory for sharing your photographic talent with us!

P.S. Mallory took a photo at Amy's wedding that is now (at least) among our TOP FIVE favorite photos. Await the sharing of said photo in eager anticipation!

rachel + scott groomals

utah wedding flowers, provo wedding flowers, salt lake wedding flowers
Rachel & Scott were married last month (you may remember this cute couple from their spotlight), and I just received some photos of their groomals session shot in April. How I love these photos! Diana with Yan Photo is so talented and so generous to share her work. Brides to be, I would certainly recommend checking out this photographer for your big day. So without further ado...

Beautiful couple:These last two pictures have nothing to do with flowers, but knowing Leslie and Cory and their fun-loving personalities, I have to include them. A little duck chasing if you will:
Thanks, L + C!

all hail holly

Holly #3 had her bridals taken earlier this week. Actually, she was supposed to have them last week, but remember how we live in Utah and how even though it's almost May, it can be 70+ degrees one day and then raining/snowing/hailing/ugly/cloudy/nasty weather the next day? Hmmm. Well, her first scheduled time was on one of the "next day" type of days we had last week. So, her bridals had to be rescheduled for the following week. Due to the reschedule, luckily I was able to come up with something on last minute's notice that would work for her sitting bouquet. I think it turned out lovely.

I particularly loved the champagne ribbon wrap:the bouquet itself:

colors: delicate pinks, creme, soft lime
flowers used: standard roses, spray roses, viburnum, tulips, israeli ruscus

Watch for Holly + Morgan's couple spotlight soon! They are getting married in less than a month, and just wait 'til you see her wedding bouquet. It's going to be a peony filled masterpiece.

Have a great weekend!

stephanie's bridals

Stephanie was married back in January and just sent me over some of her bridals. I love them, and the ice-covered lake coupled with the blue sky and snow-capped mountains looks so beautiful it could be fake! But, it is the reality of the beauty we have locally.

Thanks, Steph! You made a beautiful bride.

the color purple

Sorry to have been absentee in posting this week. I have been insanely busy and have been working a lot on the business side of Blossom Sweet. We have some exciting changes coming soon!

Holly & Mark are having their "groomals" taken today. She has a style akin to my taste and so it has been a treat to work on her design concept! She & Mark are getting married on March 27, and there will be a blog spotlight on them coming up soon. Good luck with the groomals session today, Holly!

I took some photos of the flowers this morning and I LOVE how they turned out. Hope you all enjoy this little sneak peek. The ranunculus were some of the prettiest I have EVER seen. They're big & beautiful.

the bouquet {love it, love it, LOVE it}:
groom's bout {again, LOVE}:
together forever:
I had some flowers from a project earlier this week which I combined with the leftover flowers from today, and this is what I'll be giving my hot mama for her birthday tomorrow. I'm pretty sure she'll like it! {shhh}:
And now I'm off to get ready for a day of consulting. I love my work, I really do!
