On of my fav memories was the Christmas Eve we did something different. We wend to SLC as a family to visit my grandpa who was going through cancer treatments. We visited with him and then went to an almost empty Macaroni Grill for dinner afterward.

One of my favorite memories was a Christmas right after we had our first child and we woke up early on Christmas and opened our 3 presents - then thought "Let's go over to my family's house and watch them open theirs" We drove in the early pre-dawn hours and it had snowed about 10" that night and no roads were plowed and no other tracks were on the roads - it was magical!

One of my favorites was snowmobiling up in Heber with one of my best friends. We had no real idea what we were doing... but we ended up having such a fun time with hilarious memories of gunning it to skip the track and me flying off the snowmobile mid air; and my BFF getting stuck with her wrist revving the engine while stuck in a snowbank and her jeans getting caught ... you probably had to be there, but trust me, the most hilarious experience snowmobiling ever!

On Christmas Eve when I was 9, my parents told us that each kid could open one gift that night. My oldest brother opened a pacifier, thought it was a joke, and popped it in his mouth. My next brother opened a package of baby toys and was rather upset. I opened a baby bottle, but I was still playing with dolls, so I didn't think it was terribly unusual. I remember playing games with my siblings and going night sledding. It was so great. In the middle of the night, I heard "Santa" swear because he stubbed his toe. He was trying to be quiet, and sneaky by leaving the lights off, but hurt himself. haha. We all joked about it in the morning. :)

One year when I was around 7 years old I was sleeping in the basement when I heard a *THUD* upstairs. I woke up and instantly knew: It was Santa.

I was SO excited I didn't know what to do, then I had a terrifying thought. "He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake." Santa knew I was awake! What if he didn't leave any presents because I was up?!? I closed my eyes and faked sleep until I eventually nodded off again.

The next day I woke up to find that Santa HAD left presents and was so excited I didn't stop to notice that one of our heavy ornaments had broken in two from an apparent fall in the night. I never figured out how that thing broke without waking me up, Santa hitting the bottom of our fireplace was the only thing I had heard that Christmas Eve....
