we're back! how 'bout a pretty pink wedding?

Thank you all for your patience the past week as we completed our big move.  The new place is amazing and we can't wait to share all about it!

And now let's get to something pretty.  Earlier this month I designed the florals for a good friend's wedding.  They turned out so beautifully.  Enjoy these gorgeous photos as a sneak peek into a gorgeous event.

out of the office + pretty leftovers

We are excited to announce that Blossom Sweet is moving to a bigger and better location!  We'll be staying in Provo and our new place is pretty amazing.  We can't wait to share all about it.  But for now, we need to focus on completing the big move (man, it takes a lot of work to move a flower shop!), so we'll be out of the office from now until next Tuesday, July 30th while we do that.  You can expect a response at that time.  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

And what is the above-pictured arrangement you may ask?  We had a few leftovers from last weekend's wedding (which, um, was amazingly gorgeous), so we cooked up this pretty little number as a token of gratitude for those assisting us with the move.  Like it, love it, adore it.  Enjoy a couple of views.

flowers used in arrangement: roses (2 varieties), garden roses (2 varieties), dusty miller, stock (2 varieties), seeded eucalyptus, navy airbrushed seeded eucalyptus, queen anne's lace, lisianthus, silver brunia, calcynia, hydrangea, and italian ruscus.

i've got sunshine on a cloudy day

Ah, Utah friends, today is one rainy summer day is it not?  It may be dark outside, but today's bride is fixing to get a burst of sunshine in the form of her beautiful flowers.  Here is a sneak peek of the bright beauty that is her bouquet.  Enjoy and have a great weekend!

flowers used in bouquet: stock, sunflowers, roses (2 varieties), spray roses, football mums, hypericum berries, dahlias, solidago, craspedia, succulents, and pittosporum.

"mary's getting married?"

"Mary's getting married?"  That's a line from the movie "The Wedding Planner" and it's so appropriate for today because guess what?  Mary's getting married!  I have been living under the same roof as Mary for the past two years (almost to the day), so naturally I know her pretty well.  And since I have watched her relationship with Steve (her soon-to-be hubs in a couple of hours!) from day 1, I'd say I know him pretty well, too.  In fact, I accidentally referred to him as my roommate a couple of weeks ago!  Anyway, I'm just so happy for them.  And of course I'm thrilled about having the opportunity to do her flowers for her beautiful wedding.

Enjoy a photo of the happy couple (engagement photo by Kate Osborne Photography) as well as a snapshot of her bouquet pre-pickup this morning (bouquet photo by Blossom Sweet).  Best wishes to the happy couple, and happy weekend, everyone!

10 in 30 and a few sneak peeks

Hi kids.  I am calling you kids today because if I was a mom and this blog were my child, I would be considered an absentee parent as of late!  But an excuse (or an explanation, rather) I do have.  Our month of June was crazy busy--psychotic really!  We had 10 large events in 30 days, so do the math and that averages out to an event every three days.  So with that said, we hope you'll accept our apologies for our recent blog absence.

To make it up to you, let us offer you a couple sneak peeks of our recent events.  We'll start with a sneak peek of the head table arrangement we created for an event at Deer Valley Resort in Park City a couple of weeks ago:

Ah, so pretty.  Next, we have a couple of snapshots of a bouquet we created for a wedding at Wadley Farms last week.  Adored this bouquet.

We'll end by saying that we hope these little glimpses into what we've been up to have made up for our stint as "absentee blog parents".  Because we don't pay child support.  ;)
