dance with me: giselle + michael

Two spotlights in one week--how lucky are you guys?  The stunning Giselle is getting married tomorrow (to her ballroom dancing partner!) and her designs are coming together beautifully.  We can't wait to see the entire event as a whole.  We actually designed for her sister's wedding a couple of years ago, and so to have this family be a return-client is a huge compliment!  This is a family full of beautiful girls all around, and we absolutely love having the privilege of adding beautiful flowers to their big days.  Enjoy the spotlight, everyone, and best wishes tomorrow, Giselle!

How did you meet?
We both compete in ballroom dance and we met each other through mutual friends a few years back.

What did you do for your first date?
I (Giselle) had never seen any of the Star Wars movies, so one weekend we decided to start having a marathon watching them.  We were inseparable after that and became best friends.

Who said, “I love you first?”
I (Giselle) did.  He wouldn’t say it unless I did. :)

What are the most unique things about your relationship?
Something unique about us is that we became a dance partnership before we got engaged.  We both have a passion for ballroom dancing and without it we wouldn’t have met each other.

What are your favorite qualities about each other?
She says:  Some of the things that I love most about Michael are how he is such a hard worker and does whatever possible to make me happy.  He loves so surprise me and make me laugh. There isn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t tell me I’m beautiful. He is a family man and has such a warm and loving heart.  He has made me happier than I have ever been and I can’t wait to marry him!

He says:
1. Love how you can make anyone smile in a room.
2. Love your eyes and smile & and how your eyes light up.
3. Love how hard working you are.
4. Love the way you crinkle your nose and the faces you give me.
5. Love how you take care of yourself.
6. Love how much you take care of others.

Where will you go on your honeymoon?
Cancun, Mexico!

Tell us a bit about your even concept:
We wanted to have a classier feel for our wedding.  Our main color is cream with accent colors of aqua, teal, hunter green and deep blues.  We are so excited to see what Melissa puts together for our flowers!

couple spotlight: tiffani + bryce

We just love when our clients are up for being featured in a couple spotlight.  Tiffani and Bryce are getting married next week and we're so excited for their event.  It is going to be lovely.  Their engagement session is featured on Utah Bride Blog today, and can we say... WOW!  What an amazing location, not to mention beautiful bride-to-be.  We were happy to provide an adorably earthy flower crown for this session which is featured in the photos.  Enjoy this story of love!

How did you meet?
We both had mutual friends.

What did you do for your first date?
We watched a lot of movies for our first few dates.  Then Bryce started taking me rock climbing.  I was so afraid at first but he was so patient and continued to teach me.  This is now part of our daily lives and we enjoy working hard to overcome our fears and accomplish things together.

Who said "I love you" first?
(Tiffani) I did.  Bryce is very shy. I knew from the start that he was the one for me so I have never been afraid to admit it.

What is the most unique thing about your relationship?
We were born on the exact same day, September 23, 1987.  We have so much in common and find ourselves finishing each others sentences on a regular basis.  We were definitely meant to be.

What are your favorite qualities about each other?
She says: He makes me laugh and I can be myself around him.
He says: She is just as weird and goofy as I am. :)

How did he propose?
He took me to dinner and then drove up our favorite canyon afterwards, Little Cottonwood.  He pulled over to look at the view and got on his knee and proposed.  When we got back in the car he continued to drive up the canyon. I asked where we were going and he handed me my swimsuit. Knowing how adventurous Bryce is, I figured he expected me to jump in the ice cold river or something! But he had called my boss and got the day off for me to enjoy up at Snowbird Resort where he reserved a suite and hot tub.

Where will you go on your honeymoon?
We are saving up to go somewhere far and climb somewhere amazing!

Tell us a bit about your event concept:
Bryce and I are really outdoorsy. We love to hike, rockclimb, camp, or boat! So we wanted our wedding to be natural and rustic.  We wanted an organic feel to things.

megan's bridals

Jimmy Bishop does it again!  Jimmy is the genius behind the lens at Gideon Photography.  He's based in Southern Utah but we love when brides bring him up our way for their events.  Earlier this week he shot the portrait session for one of our June brides (whose wedding is coming up in less than a week!).  We can't wait for her designs, and we can't get over how much we adore these photos.  Obviously we had a hard time narrowing these down, so enjoy lots and lots!
