utah valley bride bouquet #3

Today we are happy to introduce you to the last of our three bouquets featured in the gown section of UV Bride Mag. This little beaut' makes an appearance several times and we loved it.

We saved this one for last because it screams spring and we are more than ready for that season and the blooms it brings! Just as with the other bouquets, Mikki Platt Photography graciously captured some lovely images for us pre-shoot. So thank you, thank you, Mikki, and now enjoy the gorgeousness that is this bouquet:

In the magazine we called this little number our "honeybee bouquet" because we think the waxflower looks like little honeycombs. So cute!

flowers/elements used in bouquet:

ruffled edge roses, pepper berry, silver brunia, waxflower, variegated pittosporum, stock (2 varieties), slate gray satin ribbon, pearl pins.

utah valley bride bouquet #2

We recently shared the first of three bouquets we have featured in the gown section of the 2012 issues of Utah Valley Bride Magazine. Today, we are happy to share several photos of the second bouquet, which we loved. When creating this design, we envisioned it in the hands of a bride having an outdoor ceremony in the gorgeous setting of Utah's mountains. Can you picture it?

All photos in today's post were taken by Mikki Platt just prior to the magazine shoot (thank you, Miss M!). Additional visual splendor to ensue...

Flowers/elements used in bouquet:
variegated calla lilies, lisianthus, stock, thistle, queen anne's lace, china berries, lemon leaf, silver dollar eucalyptus, chocolate dahlias, grapevine ball, champagne satin ribbon + pins.

Finally, thanks so much to all who have voted for Blossom Sweet thus far in KSL's A-List Competition! If you haven't voted yet, click HERE.

happy love month!

Happy Month of Love! Valentine's Day is officially only one week away and we are getting excited! To celebrate this lovey-dovey-love-month, we thought we'd do our first of four posts featuring our 2012 exposure in Utah Valley Bride Magazine, starting with our red bouquet (which just so happened to be designed using heart roses). It only seems fitting, right?

We were flattered when the magazine asked Blossom Sweet to be the exclusive designer of three custom bouquets for their gown shoot. The following image kicks off the gown section on pages 52-53 of the magazine and showcases the first of our three bouquets:

Looks good, huh? We think so. We love the contrast that comes from the monochromatic mix of bright and deep shades of red. And we are thrilled that our dear photographer friend, the Marvelous Miss Mikki Platt herself, was kind enough to get some additional shots for us. The first photo below will be February's Photo of the Month. Enjoy!

Flowers & elements used in the bouquet: heart roses, hypericum berries, dahlias, tulips, and silver dollar eucalyptus. Finished with a burgundy satin ribbon and red pins.
