UV50: an itsy bitsy preview

My camera keeps taking blurry photos! I'm so sad! It has been my trusty friend, but I think its life is coming to a bitter, blurry end. My goal over the next month is to start up with a new camera.

Anyway, that being said, the following photo is blurry. However, I'm still going to share it as a sneak peek of the event for which I designed the other night. The first of 27 table centerpieces:

The event was the UV50 Gala - an annual event which hosts the top 50 companies in UT Valley. Companies are invited based on percentage of growth, revenue, and other qualifications. It's a pretty BIG DEAL, a HUGE PARTY, and a VERY EXCITING event! More details to come soon.

Ah, you should have seen the buffet pieces. Pops of modernity and color with lots of black branches. So cool. Hopefully I'll be able to snag some photos soon! Until then...

flowers used in the centerpieces: equisetum, kale, craspedia, tulips [open by hand], spray roses, kermit pomanders, salal, tropical amazon roses, orange unique roses, stargazer lilies, curly willow [airbrushed to be black].
