spooky, spooky, take a looky

Happy Halloween, everyone! Hope you have a "spooktacular" holiday.

Photos 1,2,3:

  • 1,3. the pumpkins on my front porch- do you dig the stand the big pumpkin is on? I used a couple of those stands for my flower-pots this Spring/Summer, and once Fall came around I decided to use them for my pumpkins. So cute!
  • 2. I took photo #2 in my own bedroom; I have an orange wall behind my bed! Love it. The arrangement was Ali's giveaway prize- a cute Halloween arrangement. Hope you loved it, Al!
Design Elements: fabric wrapped vase, green wire wrap, black feathers, black curly willow, hydrangea, lily grass, & (oh-so-Halloween-appropriate) SPIDER MUMS!

I'm going to a huge Halloween party tomorrow & I'm really excited about my costume. If it looks cool I'll post some pics next week. :)

Also, Hope and Trey were married yesterday; I didn't have time to get many photos but I did get a couple of the bouquet and I'll tell you what- it was COOL. Very artsy/funky. And feathery! Watch for that post next week as well.

And, last but not least, this photo of Allie's bouquet from her fabulous wedding last year was featured today on Utah Bride Blog in their fall/Halloween floral post. Check out the UBB post here!
Again,
Happy Halloween!

"button, button, who's got the button?" ...giveaway!

Did you ever play the "who's got the button" game when you were little? I used to play it all the time; I loved it.

Well, here's the grown up version for you!

Over the past six months or so, I've been trying out new logos in an attempt to get the right look. I wanted something simple yet bold that really showed off the company name, "Blossom Sweet." I think I've finally gotten it- it's simple, it's signature, and it's fittingly sweet. I know it's so important to successfully brand myself with a recognizable corporate identity, so I don't anticipate changing the logo again for a long time- if ever.

So, without further adieu, here it is:

And now for the more exciting part-
THE "Button, button, who's got the button" GIVEAWAY!

The new Blossom Sweet logo is available in button-form on the left-hand sidebar of the blog. As I am trying to brand my company, I would ask that those of you who have any of the former button versions please update to the new and improved version, although the old ones will still work.

To put the button on your blog, simple copy the button code, login to your blogger account, and in the layout section click on "add a gadget." Choose the "html/javascript" option, paste the code, and voila! You now have the Blossom Sweet button which automatically links to this blog.

The giveway is open to any and all participants who have the new "Blossom Sweet" button displayed on their blog, whether you previously had the button or not. To enter, simply leave a comment on this post and we'll have a drawing next week to announce the winner. Thanks, all!

natalia & david

N+D wedded yesterday, and I managed to take a few photos. Ooohhh, how I loved this wedding. Enjoy.

the bouquet:
guest book arrangement:buffet piece- there were three of these lining the buffet table:
bridal party flowers (minus the bridesmaids bouquets, which- by the way- were adorable. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a photo)the cake (sorry the photos are a bit blurry, my camera doesn't do very well indoors):And just for kicks and giggles, how about another one of the bouquet? :)
Congrats, Natalia & David! Hope your wedding was all you hoped it would be and more. Happy honeymooning.

nuptial nook- the wishing tree

I am enamored with this guest book idea! As I am such a fan of custom, original, & unique wedding concepts that manage to be "different" while still maintaining taste and class, this particular design speaks to me. The arrangement would make a stunning statement as guests enter the reception, and it's such a fun idea for the guests to be able to hang their well-wishes like ornaments on the branches of what becomes a wishing tree for the bride & groom. I look forward to having a bride who commissions me to design this for her!
(I found this photo online a year or so ago, and unfortunately can't remember where I found it... otherwise I would give you a link. I do, however, think I remember that it was from a feature on Tori Spelling's wedding. Go figure.)
Natalia & David's wedding is this weekend and I'm pretty excited about it. The color concept is rich fall hues- mustard yellow, rust, burgundy, chocolate brown, and let's not forget to throw in some purple- it will be beautiful! Watch for a post on their wedding soon.

Until then...
