back to life, back to reality...

...back to school.

Hello all. I am well aware of the lack of posting lately. I'll be back soon- I've been enjoying my week off! I am officially starting my Senior year at BYU tomorrow {hallelujah}! Granted... I did go to school during Summer Term as well, but somehow Fall seems like a much greater endeavor... :)

Anyway, I made my most valiant effort to bask in the beauty of my last week of sweet freedom.
But I'm back to life, back to reality, so watch for more posting in the near future.

Loves.

signature style

Remember this bouquet I designed for Mickelle in June?Loved it! Well, the beaded handle treatment has become somewhat of a signature for Blossom Sweet and I've been getting great demand from my brides to recreate the same style.

Darling Caitlin is one such bride. Her wedding is in a couple of weeks, and her bridal portraits are today. She and her mom Karen are fantastically adorable and I'm so looking forward to their event!

Anyway, here are a few of my shots of her bridals bouquet:

Um, do you love those photos as much as I do? Can't wait to see your bridals, Caitlin! I'm sure they'll be super cute and full of spunk, just like you.

elizabeth- the event.

Elizabeth was married last weekend at Tuhaye, a beautiful resort & country club just outside of Park City. Her event was fabulous! Even the weather turned out perfectly- in spite of there being six inches of snow the very morning of the event! Only in Utah. The atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous- imagine a ceremony at sunset with perfect weather among a backdrop of gorgeous mountains complete with light reflecting off the lake. Beautiful!

Enjoy a photo overload of snapshots I was able to get at the wedding. Hopefully there will be more photos to come soon!

the bouquet:
{the only thing prettier was the bride herself!}

the centerpieces:
{sixteen tables, sit down dinner, candles and tent lighting provided stunning ambiance}

the headpiece:
{on the center of a 24 ft table in front of the bride & groom}
head table:
{7 bridesmaids bouquets and floating roses lined the 24 ft table}

ceremony pomanders:
{pomanders hung from each chair lining both sides of the aisle}

assistant extraordinaire, Rachelle:
{this post would not be complete without a shout-out and huge THANK YOU to Rachelle. I couldn't have pulled it off without you. Thanks for walking over 8,000 steps in two hours setting up (that's a documented fact thanks to a little invention called a "body bug"); that's the measure of a true friend!}
Elizabeth, I hope you are enjoying your dream honeymoon after your dream wedding!

the point...sneak peek

Here is a teeny-tiny sneak peek of a wedding I did @ The Point Restaurant last month. Many more photos and details to come! Photography by moi {for now}.
FYI: I know it was less than a week ago that I changed the layout & look of the blog, but alas I've done it again! It was brought to my attention that the new look was similar to a fellow vendor, and as UT Valley could be considered "wedding central", we want to make sure our brands are distinct. I promise I'm not color-scheme schizophrenic! I believe this will work better.
