{nuptial nook- make your mark}

I thought this idea from In Style Weddings was a cute and unique concept for marking the bride and groom seats. Plus, I like the pop of color because it makes me excited for Spring... apparently UT thinks it's still Winter even though it's almost April...go away freezing, white, fluffy snowflakes that keep falling from the sky! I have a brilliant idea, don't come back til next year. The end.

{wallflower}

I just bought a "Wallflower" for my townhouse from Bath and Body Works. It's their new fragrance called "butterfly flower". Divine. Two thumbs way, way up.

{nuptial nook- the bold and the beautiful}

So ya'll know I served my mission in the South, right? Well, perhaps that may be why I love the "Southern Weddings" blog so much. I visit it quite often to check out their inspiration boards, and just for fun too!
Take this featured inspiration board for example. I love this color combo- aqua and red. It takes a bold, brave, and stylishly confident bride to pull it off, but when it's done right, it makes a memorable, strong, and beautiful statement. Don't you love it? Thanks Southern Weddings, I'm sure you'll be a repeat feature of our 'nook'.

{nuptial nook- lucky charm}

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! In honor of the holiday, this week's nuptial nook features a darling spring bouquet of sweet peas and hand-crafted four leaf clovers which was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings. According to Martha, four leaf clovers stand for "hope, faith, love, and luck"-very appropriate for a wedding, right? I want a Saint Patrick's Day bride next year because I want to make this!
Hope you all have a fantastic day...don't get pinched!

{wild wedding weekend}

I had two weddings this weekend and they both turned out beautifully! I photographed a few of the designs and although I don't claim to be a photographer, I hope you get the gist. :)

Wedding #1:
Stephanie's bouquet:
Steph's gorgeous cake with flowers packed all around.

Wedding #2:
Faith's bridesmaids wrist corsages- 11 sisters! And don't worry, there's five more boxes of bridal party flowers alone...holy cow. So many!
love this shot.

Watch for more pics soon!

{it's a pretty good day}

I bought a new car today! I LOVE it and I'm so happy about it! It's a white Montero Sport. Watch for it as it makes its appearance delivering flowers to many gorgeous 2009 weddings. :)
Two days ago a random thought popped in my head, "I want to watch Andre, I loved that movie when I was younger!" Don't worry, I found it for $5.00 at Wal-Mart today- what are the odds? I also got Sandlot and Hope Floats! And each for just five bucks. I love Wally World...mostly.

And last but not least, today is a good day because I've been working on flowers for Steph and Justin's wedding! I'm sure she'll be a gorgeous bride with a color scheme of -you guessed it- green and pink.

And, don't worry, I've been working on flowers for this beautiful bride's wedding too! Faith and James are also getting hitched tomorrow. Colors: red, black, and white. What a fun wedding weekend for me!

So, to sum it all up, "it's a pretty good day...I'm looking forward to tomorrow!"

{nuptial nook- pretty pomanders}

Well, this week's nuptial nook is going to double as the announcement for the winner of our most recent giveaway.
And the winner is....
Janet!

Congrats, pretty lady! Watch for your pomander prize in the coming week.
Thanks to all who entered!

And now on to the 'nuptial nook' part of the post. I decided to do a spotlight on pretty pomanders in order to show a few potential wedding uses:

For the first two photos, check out this gorgeous Salt Lake City bride whose wedding was featured here. LOVE her unique choice for a pomander bouquet. Just my style.

This is my kind of bride- chic to the core!
Love this idea- use pomanders to line an aisle or mark the head table. So many uses. See the original post here.
Don't feel limited to using only ribbon to adorn your pomander- how adorable are these pearls on the bridesmaid bouquet? Love! See the original post here.

{give me a giveaway!}

We had this month's floral design enrichment group again this week and I taught the girls how to make fresh flower pomander balls. It was so fun and everyone (all sixteen of them!) did SO well!

Here is the sample I made for the class out of leftover flowers I'd had sitting around for awhile. I love it! This is the view from the front yard of my townhouse- ain't it fabulous?

And now for the giveaway.
What do you have to do to enter this month? Simply leave a comment on this post and you're automatically entered! How easy is that?

I want to see who my blog visitors are, so regardless of whether I know you personally or not, leave a comment and you'll be entered!

This month's winner will receive their own pomander. Good luck!

{nuptial nook-sign in books}

Details are what make a wedding memorable, beautiful, and uniquely yours. Why have a 'cookie cutter' wedding when you can infuse your own style into every facet? I'm all about originality!

And how cute and original are these sign in books featured at Martha Stewart Weddings?

First, the index card book. Each card is made from fancy-schmancy vintage paper and each card is different. Guests each fill out a card, write the happy couple a note, and then file it under the letter which corresponds with their last name. Adorable, right?

Second is the envelope sign-in book. So fun! Start by finding various-sized miniature envelopes that match your color palette, attach them to the book with double stick scrapbooking tape, and voila! Your book is ready. Have cute slips of paper available for guests to pen their well-wishes. Love!
